Anstatt das Spiel an sich zu beleuchten und das worum es wirklich geht, wird der gute Mann hier für ein paar hundert Zeilen feinsten Flames bezahlt.
Wer bei "Hearts of Iron 3" seinen Bericht an der Grafik aufhängt, hat seinen Beruf verfehlt.
Die Grafik? Diese spielt bei diesem Klassiker, auf denen Tausende Liebhaber der Vorgänger fieberhaft gewartet haben, absolut keine Rolle. Auch meine Diplomaten schicke ich regelmäßig zu ihnen um sie zu beeinflussen. Meine Industrie habe ich in eine Kriegsmaschinerie verwandelt: Truppen werden ausgebildet. An der kompletten Westgrenze Deutschlands ziehe ich Landbefestigungen hoch um mich gegen einen eventuellen Krieg im und gegen den Westen vorzubereiten. Dasselbe an der polnischen Grenze.
All dies diente bisher nur der Verteidigung gegen die bald überlegenen Alliierten. Dabei weiß noch keiner, dass ich gleich nach der Angliederung Österreichs an Deutschland Jugoslawien und Italien angreifen werde um ersteinmal die Grenzen des Deutschen Reiches widerherzustellen. Schade um Italien, dass sich so vergeblich die Mühe macht ein Bündnis mit mir einzugehen. Aber mein zweiter Weltkrieg soll anders aussehen als der echte. Die einzige Angst die bleibt, ist die Sowjetunion: Wird sie mich angreifen, wenn ich es nicht tue? Wird meine überlegene Infanterie der ihrerseits zahlenmäßig weit überlegenen Stand halten können?
Meine Forschung hat den Schwerpunkt Infanterie. Sie ist der Forschung im Gegensatz zur damaligen Realität weit vorraus. Ich greife Jugoslawien an, dann Ungarn und dann Bulgarien. Ich annektiere alle 3 Staaten. Die Alliierten verhalten sich ruhig. Doch als ich Rumänien den Krieg erkläre, ersteht der Riese im Osten auf, mobilisiert seine Truppen. Jetzt bleiben mir nur noch wenige Wochen mich auf das Unausweichliche vorzubereiten: Der Krieg gegen die Sowjetunion...
Wen interessiert eine ausgefeilte Textur, wenn ich in auf der Weltkarte die ganze Welt verändern kann? Es ist eine Schande ein solches Spiel nach Grafik zu beurteilen!
Wenn du mit der rechten Gehirnhälfte denkst und auf Bilder stehst, dann lass die Finger von dem Spiel. Dieses Spiel ist für Menschen, die gern nachdenken, planen, kontrollieren.
